At AGTree, safety is the highest priority. We protect personal safety by hiring good people and training them constantly. Every day, the crew meets to discuss safety for the day’s work. We work on communication skills, on perfecting our procedures, and on trusting each other to speak up if anything doesn’t “feel right”.
This focus on personal safety also extends to the families of our customers. Every project is meticulously planned to avoid danger to people and property. Even passersby are protected by our intelligent approach to the placement of our trucks, cranes, and traffic direction.
The safest equipment
Tree service safety starts with the simple, vital attention to detail that keeps every climb, every cut, every cable and pulley in the green zone of safe, reliable operation. We inspect our ropes every day, and replace them regularly. We buy the best ropes, cables, and pulleys. Our workers wear the best harnesses, inspected daily and augmented with state-of-the-art helmets, eyewear, ear protection and rigging. We’re cautious around wires, and know when to bring in the electric company to avoid electrical accidents, as well.
Safety is an attitude and a result
The reason why AGTree has never had an accident — no significant injuries, and no damaged property, either — is because we approach safety as the most important thing. It’s a habit and an attitude with all our employees. More important than the profit on the job. More important than quitting time or a light-hearted banter among the team members. From the top down, safety comes first, investments in safe gear come first — and absolute safety in every tree removal or tree trimming assignment is the key reason why we can say with integrity, “Done right, every time.”
