The equipment we use at AGTree is a vital part of the efficiency of our service. Even more important, it’s crucial to the safety of our crews, your family and neighbors.
We start with our saws, right-sized for every operation and kept ship-shape for every day of cutting. We sharpen meticulously every day, often more than once.
But cutting is only 1/10 of what we do. Often we must climb your trees; and when we do, we always start by attaching ropes to sturdy upper branches so that we’re not going up without support. Our rigging: ropes, harnesses, pulleys, and cables are the best money can buy. We inspect them daily, and replace the ropes often.
We wear OHSA approved and reality-tested helmets, eyewear and ear protection, because we want our crew to think of their job with us as a career, not an unsustainable adventure for the young and brash.
We could add an extra measure of safety for our climbers, by allowing them to wear spurs. But we don’t except for tree removals, because spurs and cleats transmit pathogens, damage the growth layers … and open up holes for wind and insects to damage the trees we are trying to preserve.
The most important part of our equipment, and the part that makes AGTree different from most of our competitors, is our use of nautical-quality heavy rigging cables and winches – the kind you might see in expensive racing yachts — to precisely control the lowering and landing of every major branch and tree.
When you contract with AGTree Service for tree trimming or removal anywhere in Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, Redmond, Woodinville, Everett, Edmond, or Shoreline, you are guaranteeing that whatever comes down is going to be be under control. We tension major branches with pulleys and winches, so that we know before we cut where a branch will swing, and precisely where a measured length of tree will be lowered to the ground.
At AGTree we own our vehicles, and work with the best mechanics to keep them in top shape. Each crew has a state-of-the-art chipper and covered truck. We also have multiple grinders so that each crew can turn unsightly stumps into useful mulch before we leave your job site.
Finally, at AGTree Service we have our own crane. The biggest, most challenging jobs are our specialty … and because we do probably more large projects requiring cranes for tree removal and emergencies than any other Puget Sound tree service, we can promise you that our crews know how to make the best use of the industrial-quality equipment we bring. That’s the extra margin that allows us to say with integrity, “Done right, every time.”
